Unstable Unicorns - Chronology

Rather than naming every single printing or publishing run, which there have been many if not hundreds of card printings now. When Unstable Unicorns Kickstarter was released the Original Text game effect text printing that was used, was found to have certain game effect text misinterpretations of intention; a new card text was published, this new card effect text is called Second Print.

ORIGINAL TEXT

Original Text is defined as the game effect text printed for the 2017 Kickstarter release of an Unstable Unicorns.

• 2017 Kickstarter Original Text can be identified as there is no Lot# printed on the back of the box.

December 2017 Original Base (2017 Kickstarter)

• Released product for the 2017 Kickstarter Campaign.
• 135 cards in a white box with "Rainbow Unicorn" on back - released with no card symbol.

• 135 cards in a black metallic ink box with "Extremely Destructive Unicorn" on back - Kickstarter only exclusive Box set.
• KICKSTARTER EXCLUSIVES will not be released to retail (ever.)

December 2017 Exclusive Card (2017 Kickstarter)

• Released product for the 2017 Kickstarter Campaign.
• 5 cards (non-boxed) - Kickstarter exclusive card set. Released with a "Blue Star KSE" symbol.
• KICKSTARTER EXCLUSIVES will not be released to retail (ever.)

December 2017 NSFW Expansion (2017 Kickstarter)

• Released product for the 2017 Kickstarter Campaign.
• 54 cards in a Blue "Twinkicorn" cover Box - released with Black Star card symbol. - Kickstarter Only Box.

December 2017 Apocalypse Expansion (2017 Kickstarter)

• Released product for the 2017 Kickstarter Campaign.
• 27 cards (non-boxed) - released with Red Star card symbol. – Kickstarter Only.

FIRST PRINT

First Print is defined as the game effect text printed for the first retail version released. The game text is identical text to Original Text.

• Retail First Print can be identified with Lot#23167 printed on the back of the box.

January 2018 Publishing

• Unstable Unicorns is now published by Breaking Games™ an AD MAGIC™ company. This change in publisher has given the card back a lighter appearance and a larger black border than the previous releases. All previous releases are now out of print.

January 2018 Gamestop.com Base

• Released product for the 2017 Gamestop Edition.
• 135 cards in a white box with "Gamercorn" on the back - Gamestop Exclusive contains "Gamercorn" card.
• The card "Puppicorn" is not included. - released with no card symbol.

January 2018 Original Base

• Released product for 2018.
• 135 cards in a white box with "Annoying Flying Unicorn" on the back - released with no card symbol.

January 2018 NSFW Expansion

• Released product for 2018.
• 54 cards in a black "Neigh, MotherFucker!" cover box - released with Red Rocket card symbol.

January 2018 Dragons Expansion (Repack)

• Released product for 2018.
• 54 cards in a black "Dragon Skies" cover box -released with "Blue Scale" card symbol.

June 2018 Out of Print

• Starting with the Rainbow Apocalypse Expansion all releases were updated to new Second Print game text format and rulesheet. All previous releases are now out of print.
• All future releases follow the Second Print card text and rulesheet.

September 2018

• With the successful 2018 Kickstarter Control and Chaos Campaign, this introduced additional information which is integrated into the Second Print rulesheet.
