Here are some early design images and description prior to the final print version:
"I would like to be a science unicorn who uses the power of science to defend against magic. He stands cloaked in his trusty lab coat (the bottom flaring out as if caught in wind felt by nobody else) and his safety goggles donned (cause you know, safety first). His horn has been dyed a rainbow swirl by the countless chemicals to which it’s been exposed. He smirks because he knows his science will protect his stable from the destruction of others. In his hooves he holds a flask of bubbling colorful liquid and behind him can be seen his lab bench covered in assorted glassware containing solutions of all sorts of color, some still while others bubble or smoke."
