The stack of black-backed cards that have been sacrificed, destroyed, or discarded during the game. The cards in this pile are placed face up and are open information available to all players. Even though it is not explicitly stated for Unstable Unicorns most card games have an open discarded pile which is known information. Card games have adopted the practice that you can look through the pile anytime you wish as not to interrupt the active player's turn, however you cannot change the card order.
SEARCHING FOR CARDS
Some card effects allow you to search the deck or the discard pile for a card (ex. "When this card enters your Stable, you may search the deck for a Downgrade card and add it to your hand."). Once you have retrieved that card, you must reveal the card you chose to each other player before adding it to your hand.
Some card effects allow you to "choose" a card from the Discard Pile, you can look at your options and pick whichever card you want. The Discard Pile is face up and open information to all players you must reveal the card you chose to each other player before adding it to your hand.
