UU Game Terminology - Phase

  • Effects that cause phases to be skipped during a turn are combined to only affect the same phase. The same phase can be skipped multiple times due to multiple effects in the same turn and fulfill any requirement effect.
  • The End of turn phase can never be skipped. A player will always have an end of turn hand limit discard check.
  • All phases are mandatory unless an effect causes a phase to be skipped. You cannot choose to miss a phase whenever you want.

Linear Progression of Phases

  • Flare Gun would be played prior to a player starting their turn. (Does not occur in a phase)
  • Puppicorn effect triggers outside of a phase, if in a player's stable. (Does not occur in a phase)
  Game status check - win condition or continue to the Beginning of turn phase.
  • Phase 1:Beginning of Turn (BOT) - If any cards in your Stable have an effect that states, "If this card is in your Stable at the beginning of your turn," they are triggered now. If you move to your Draw phase without triggering an optional triggered effect, you can no longer trigger that effect this turn.
  All effects have been resolved.
  Game status check - win condition or continue to the next phase.
